A mobile clinic can bring care closer to the people who need it. In February 2024, Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise and Desert Diamond Casinos contributed $10,000 to COPE Community Services for its Wellness on Wheels program.
Care beyond a clinic building
COPE established Wellness on Wheels to provide medical, behavioral health, and substance-use treatment through a mobile clinic. The organization said the contribution would help expand its services and reach more people in the community.
A Southern Arizona connection
Desert Diamond presented the contribution to COPE’s leadership and program team on February 21, 2024. The partnership puts local support behind a practical approach to healthcare access: bringing services into the community.
